Feature Request: plotting additional data points on top of existing image

Often times we adopt/modify an image from existing literature because the raw data is not available and the result is not always pretty!

So it would be better to be able to do that in WPD where we can add additional data points with different shape (rectangle/circular/star etc.) and color options.
