cannot execute: required file not found

Open bashfulrobot opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Hi there, I am downloading the latest release, but when I try to run it (same without --help) I get:

λ sway-alttab --help
bash: /etc/profiles/per-user/dustin/bin/sway-alttab: cannot execute: required file not found

Is there another requirement I am not aware of?

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

It looks like you're running it NixOS? I believe the pre-compiled releases assume a normal sane Linux distribution and linked libraries to be present in standard locations (which is not the case in NixOS). If you are indeed using NixOS, you can either compile from source yourself, or you can use a project like https://github.com/Mic92/nix-ld
