Couple problems
- Sound doesn't work, and seems to be disabled.
- Opening SimpleText, the "Sound" menu is greyed out and disabled. The Cmd-Shift-5 trick to get the preferences doesn't work (to at least try to enable sound support).
Is there a way to hex edit the prefs file to enable it?
Well, yes, sound does not work at the moment, there's some work that needs to be done to make it work again. You won't be able to enable it in the preferences.
But what doesn't work about Cmd-Shift-5? (I'd really prefer one problem per issue, though...)
What OS are you using?
Using 10.14.6. Referring to Cmd-Shift-5, it doesn't bring up the hidden preferences dialog for Browser.
Okay, so I'm guessing you're using macOS then ;-)
So that's a documentation bug... at some point in the past, I decided to change that from Cmd-Shift to Cmd-Option for the Mac version, because Cmd-Shift-Number combinations get intercepted by macOS. ... and apparently I didn't bother to write that down anywhere
That is now issue #38 .
