generate tag files from side bar?

is it possible to implement a new feature that we can generate tag files from side bar context menu?

@austin----- 1. the 'side bar context menu' i said means the menu which pops out when i click using right mouse button on folder or file that is displayed on the side bar of the editor. 2. maybe just add a selection in that context menu with the description "gtags: build tags". When i click on that, the extension will call global to build tags in the background. Upon finishing building, results can be displayed on the status bar of editor.
