Liquid glass..? As far as I know, that's not the job of this extension. That's the job of GTK themes. Maybe try some of those MacTahoe themes out there, they can provide liquid glass-ish styles for apps, panels and icons.

@choc1024 no this extension is responsible for making blur the whole desktop so it can make it Liquid glass

@MirS0bhan yeah it can blur application BACKGROUND (at least in theory, I haven't been able to get application blur working yet, see #764 ) but how is that supposed to make applications look like liquid glass? Shouldn't that be the job of GTK themes, which can theme buttons, sliders, text fields, etc to make them look like liquid glass?

His meaning is to make the window background have a liquid glass effect

ah, ok. I am terribly sorry for misunderstanding what you meant, and I beg your pardon.

No worries at all, misunderstandings happen. But using a large liquid glass effect can reduce text readability, so it may not be ideal for window backgrounds.

Though the title and issue is formatted poorly, I think the idea is good and will greatly help with new macOS themes looking correct. I found this project which has GLSL shaders that mimic liquid glass. Maybe it helps? https://github.com/OverShifted/LiquidGlass

Readability can be improved by making the glass effect a bit frosted, like in iOS 26.1
