Dash To Dock's auto-hide not working with edge tiling when enable Blur My Shell

Open hungtcs opened this issue 11 months ago • 4 comments

If Blur My Shell and Dash To Dock are turned on at the same time, Dash To Dock will not hide automatically after dragging the window to the right to trigger edge tiling.

  1. This is a new fedora 41 virtual machine
  2. Only these two extensions are enabled, and all others are disabled.

Steps:

  1. Open any window and drag to right to trigger edge tiling
  2. Observe whether the dock is hidden

Other details:

  1. When the window triggers the right edge tiling, it is very easy to reproduce.
  2. If the window triggers the left edge tiling, it can occasionally be reproduced.

Can't reproduce What about extensions settings?

This is my system information, I can fully guarantee that I am using the default configuration, I am just installed these two extensions without any configuration.

I first discovered this issue on my PC, and I can use a virtual machine on my Mac to reproduce stably.

I'm not sure if this is related to the Fedora, but I will test it with other distributions later.

Have the same issue

  1. blur must be applied to dock
  2. dock is not in the panel mode
  3. any prefs windows must be closed (even from other extensions)
  4. only the right part of the dock don't trigger intellihide (dead zone size or position of the "hit box" can change, not sure)
  5. if Extensions app is used instead of Extension Manager it must be closed (like prefs windows)
