Windows from secondary monitor disappear if using "Workspaces on primary display only"

Since gnome doesn't support switching workspaces independently on different monitors I use the "Worspaces on primary display only" so I can have something always on my secondary display while switching monitors on my primary display. If I enable blur-my-shell and switch workspaces with the touchpad gesture the windows from the secondary screen disappear until I open the overview or switch using shortcuts:
