Option to disable github tab on startup

Hi Atom team,

I am new to using Atom, I want to have a minimal layout, I have been trying to disable some stuff on startup which is really troublesome as things are not consistent between default packages.

• Welcome screen had a simple checkbox
• Outline tab, in its settings there was an option to disable "initial outline display"
• Github tab - Can't find one
• Git tab - Not sure if this is part of the same package or which package provides it, however I want this on startup, Also what is the toggle for this, if I know the package I can see it tho.

Maybe I am missing something, it will be great to have a consistent layout management in atom, I love the flexibility Atom offers with its packages.
