Github plugin not remember login credentials

Description

The github plugin doesn't remember the login credentials

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Make a commit
  2. Push the commit using the little "Push" button on the bottom right corner
  3. Type your username & password AND check the "Remember" button
  4. Make another commit
  5. Try to push that commit

Expected behavior:

Github should push the commit without any prompt.

Actual behavior:

Github prompts you to enter your login credentials.

Reproduces how often:

All the time

Versions

atom --version: Atom : 1.54.0 Electron: 6.1.12 Chrome : 76.0.3809.146 Node : 12.4.0

OS: I am running arch linux, here is my kernel version: Linux 5.4.91-1-lts x86_64

This issue is affecting me as well. Hoping for a fix soon. Using Manjaro, also based on Arch Linux.

This issue is affecting me. With Github requiring access tokens now, I would need to regenerate the token every single time I want to push from atom.

Atom    : 1.58.0
Electron: 9.4.4
Chrome  : 83.0.4103.122
Node    : 12.14.1
