Nothing happens when I run autocomplete-plus:confirm

Prerequisites

I did a fresh install of Atom on Elementary OS 0.4.1

Description

When I either: press enter/press tab/or run autocomplete-plus:confirm via the command palette

What happens:

No errors occur in the console.

Steps to Reproduce

1. create a random html file
2. start typing to prompt a suggestion
3. Press tab or enter

Expected behavior: The suggested text to be autocompleted

Actual behavior: The suggestions menu flickers for a second and nothing happens

Reproduces how often: 100% of the time

Versions

Atom : 1.17.2 Electron: 1.3.15 Chrome : 52.0.2743.82 Node : 6.5.0 apm 1.17.0

Been fiddling around with it and it will auto-correct spelling but not html tags
