[FEATURE REQUEST] Render characters as characters instead of blocks

Hey guys, I'd love the ability/option to have the minimap render characters as actual characters (EX: VSCode, Komodo, KDevelop) instead of the block rendering it does now.

Is this a possibility we could see in the future?

This would be a cool feature to add, but if you add it make it an option.
