Looking for co-mainainers/general help

Since all current maintainers suffer from severe lack of time, this project is in dire need of help.

Areas that primarily need attention:

• New issues. Initial response time can be abysmal. At the very least, following up on issues for additional information needs to happen in a timely manner. Tagging issues appropriately is also a very good idea.
• ~~Issue backlog. At this point, it's entirely unclear which issues are still relevant, which are already fixed, and which aren't relevant for other reasons. Help needed in sorting through this mess.~~
• Issue follow-up. Follow-up time is abysmal as well. It could be helpful if someone could look over stale issues from time to time and ping the person responsible and/or owners. Could probably get a bot to do that, but we'd have to sort out the backlog problem first and tag new issues appropriately.

Additionally, some help would be appreciated with coding-related tasks, which are listed in milestones ~~and maintenance plan~~. Obviously, help is appreciated with issues marked as "help wanted" too.
