The caret style should be configurable, with colour, shape (between bar, block, and underline), and an additional option for blinking or not.

Might I add size as well? Highlighting current line is an in inaesthetic choice for me, and I'd prefer the caret to be as quickly identifiable as iA Writer's for instance.
