"Broadcast message" appearing repeatedly in Mojave

I've loved using Chocolat for years and want to keep using it even if it doesn't get new features...

But ever since I upgraded to Mojave, whenever Chocolat is open, multiple times every hour this message appears in any and all Terminal windows I have open, together with beeping:

Broadcast Message from [email protected]
(no tty) at 21:44 EST...

com.chocolatapp.gitxpc(78209,0x700009037000) malloc: *** error for object 0x7f9 76fe03bf0: pointer being realloc'd was not allocated

The numbers all being different each time, e.g. the next one:

Broadcast Message from [email protected]
(no tty) at 22:46 EST...

com.chocolatapp.gitxpc(80509,0x700003a75000) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fa c41c03e40: pointer being realloc'd was not allocated

Sometimes it happens while I'm using Chocolat, other times when it's in the background and I haven't touched it in hours.

I'd just love to know if there are any plans to ensure Chocolat continues to function on new macOS versions, even if no new features... or if it's sadly time for me to look for a new editor. :(

+1

This is highly annoying and I haven't found a way to shut it off.

+1, Yes, me too, exactly the same message sent to my terminal:

com.chocolatapp.gitxpc(12376,0x700003bff000) malloc: *** error for object 0x7f9 ef1f0dd60: pointer being realloc'd was not allocated

Started after Mojave update.

The final version of textmate 2 is almost finished… I don't know why you waste time with little serious people who don't even have the decency to answer
