Event Pages

Open iamVP7 opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

Reason/Context

Please try answering few of those questions

  • Why we need this improvement? To list the events like talks/workshop done publicly by community members.

  • How will this change help?

  • What is the motivation?

We can slowly increase the AsyncAPI engagement among developers. Nowadays so many events are happening online, so listing all the talks around AsyncAPI will help other developers to know more and they ll start trying

Description

Please try answering few of those questions

  • What changes have to be introduced? A new page https://www.asyncapi.com/events

  • Will this be a breaking change? This will be a new page; if anything broken that will be mostly this page alone.

  • How could it be implemented/designed? Similar to jobs listing we can do the same.

Similar to jobs listing we can do the same.

People should also be able to enter the date, place, description, etc. of an event as they can for jobs - in the frontmatter section of markdown.

Hey @iamVP7, this idea sounds interesting to me. Even, I am also in the thought of making the events and their motives publicly available on the website, not only restricting it to Slack. I am interested in working on this idea.

I will like to hear this from @magicmatatjahu and @derberg, regarding your thoughts on having this page on the website and details of the events organized by AsyncAPI, if available.
