The community member spotlight initiative for AsyncAPI community.
This initiative is to showcase our exceptional talent in the community. However, this is not only for an individual. The plan is to spotlight community members and case users (organization representatives) who have made significant contributions to the community. The spotlighting will not be random but based on notable contributions.
If you have any members from your working group, you can add them to this issue.
Let's celebrate them.
How The Spotlight Initiative Works
- You suggest the community member with their name/Slack username and email address.
- Bami reaches out and set a meeting for a 30-minute chat
- Bami turns the chat to a blog and creates the first draft
- Bami publish the draft on GitHub for review
- Take feedback and implement them
- Publish the blog on the AsyncAPI website
- Share on all social media platforms, Slack channel and newsletter.
PS: The spotlight is once a month. Early recommendation is advised.
Thank you.
Tagging the TSC members and Maintainers for reach.

@Mayaleeeee definitely 💯
Thank you Bami for the amazing initiative. Some individuals in my head,
Florence Njeri - Generator Docs maintainer Vaishnavi Nandakumar - Docs Triager Akshat - Website Maintainer Ansh Goyal Ashish Padhy Vishvamsinh Sambhav
the whole crew who migrated the website deserve recognition
Ash - The AsyncAPI Bounty Program Lead Hugo - AsyncAPI Ambassador Aayush Saini - TSC voting automation
I can give you name suggestions for the year 😂😃😂
Also it would be great to spotlight the people leading the initiatives and programs under the Community WG. Now those are the real MVPs
Thank you, everyone, for the suggestions.
A little update on this Initiative:
-
We have the Ashmit story out and shared across all social media platforms.
-
Next step: I will be interviewing Aayush for the month of April and Maya for May.
I think these would be very interesting.
