We need people to look after the Ambassador Program and the AsyncAPI Store
Hello! Soon, I will not be able to dedicate time to AsyncAPI. During this time, I have been taking care of the Ambassador Program and the AsyncAPI store. It would be great to find somebody that assume these tasks:
- Contact the ambassadors occasionally to make them some requests that the community needs, such as collaboration in AACoT or help for sponsorship.
- Contact them every few months to update their profile or provide information to update it.
- Be aware of community members who could fit the ambassador profile.
- Ask people meeting the ambassador requirements if they want to join the program.
- Answer any request or question from the ambassadors.
- Be aware of their activities.
- Onboard new ambassadors and explain how the program works. Offer them the welcome swag, remind them that we have $70 to send them stickers for any event (we usually use https://stickerapp.com/ because the stickers are of very good quality). And finally, include them in the team of ambassadors.
- Time of dedication depends on the week, usually little. The time of dedication is variable, increasing in the weeks that the ambassadors have some event where they represent AsyncAPI because they have to be aware of the merchandising or if they have to be asked for some collaboration.
- As you know, Pinnacle Branding is the company in charge of managing the AsyncAPI store.
- Pinnacle sends the monthly invoice to [email protected], so every month, you have to ask Lukasz, who has access to the monthly invoice, to send you the invoice.
- Request monthly inventory from Alicia at Pinnacle Branding. We currently have plenty of everything in stock so we need to order new products.
- Review invoices; sometimes, there are mismatches in the storage products.
- If there is any error in the invoice, communicate it to Alicia and manage it.
- Request payment of the invoice to Pinnacle through Open Collective. Notify Lukasz of this request. Once Lukasz approves this expense, Open Collective will make the payment.
- Manage the discount codes for the ambassador, mentees and mentors kits.
- Act as an intermediary when there are problems with customs. Occasionally, you need to request documents from Pinnacle Branding.
- The time spent running the store is usually very little, except when sending swag to mentees or mentors when there are problems with customs.
If you have any questions about this, do not hesitate to tell me :)

@Barbanio what about the training repository?
@thulieblack you will need to update CODEOWNERS info as there was dedicated setting for @Barbanio
This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity
It will be closed in 120 days if no further activity occurs. To unstale this issue, add a comment with a detailed explanation.
There can be many reasons why some specific issue has no activity. The most probable cause is lack of time, not lack of interest. AsyncAPI Initiative is a Linux Foundation project not owned by a single for-profit company. It is a community-driven initiative ruled under open governance model.
Let us figure out together how to push this issue forward. Connect with us through one of many communication channels we established here.
Thank you for your patience
for now program is under @thulieblack and store is heading closure and this process is under @iambami supervision
