Open Document direct from Overview.
It always feels a little weird, if I search a document, get some results (in Pattern view). I see the document I was searching for and click on it.
My first expectation is... it opens the document. But instead it always shows half the document and the Metadata underneath, so I need to push the eye symbol afterwards to view the document.
My idea for this (to save another click, and to get more in touch with the app)
If you touch the document preview (Number 1 in my screenshot), just open it directly.
If you touch the lower part (Number 2) Show the Details as it currently is.
I think this handling would feel really nice 😀 and and snappy.
I just realized it saves 2 clicks (now you need 4 clicks)
1 click on document 2 click on eye 3 click back (takes you back to details) 4 click back (takes you back to overview)
after
1 click on document (opens) 2 click back (takes you back to overview)
So you can sneak in multiple documents very fast.
+1 on this. Also, I would like to suggest that clicking on the document preview image in the "split metadata screen" would open the document instead of clicking on the eye. The eye is a rather small button and it feels much more intuitive, to me, if clicking on the preview (upper part of the screen) would open the document in full screen.
It's done, but I'm currently refactoring "a bit" since developing became tedious with the current architecture, so it may take some time before this update is shipped.
Thank you very very much!!!
