Add/Sync AI behaviors to waypoints.
This may be something of a stretch goal, but seeing this project kind of lit up my brain today.
Would it be possible to attach the additional behaviors you've been adding to group waypoints.
Examples:
- A squad is patrolling a town and you can modify some of their waypoints in front of important buildings to give them the "search building" behavior instead of the default move waypoint behavior, so they'll stop to search the building and then resume their patrol. -Move a squad to an area and then give them a "Garrison" waypoint so that they will enter the buildings and take up defensive positions after moving in
Yeah. It's definetly possible. Would depend on #31 for the garrison ability (since that's instantaneous now), but it's certainly something worth looking into in general. The big thing I'm not sure about is how to make the UI for it work in a sensible way.
Is there any way to modify the default UI for modifying waypoints to just add extra options? That could be really useful for things like the #38 where I usually tell the helicopter to land at a spot using the waypoints. Instead I could give them a "force land" command there.
Maybe, but I was thinking you could show a different UI if you held a modifier key (i.e. SHIFT-Double-click). Also, that way it won't break everytime they change the Zeus UI.
