Model Fitting: What to do when the initial value is outside of range?

Sorry, I think we did not reach a conclusion last week, did we? Personally, I vote for @marcschefer's proposal of clipping. Perhaps with a warning logged into the terminal.

Yes, I agree. Clipping + a warning message is the way to go! No flagging necessary. People will specify astrophysically meaningful absolute limits, so objects with outside starting values will be dubious in any case.

In the documentation and in the configuration file examples we plan to assemble we need to point to that and should restrict to relative limits such that the init values are always okay.
