Funding GUI-editable regions
Issue to discuss funding for GUI-editable regions project, PR #272 and described in Project Description. Approved budget $20,000 from NASA , funded from the NASA grant (please submit invoices here).

We're working on getting a contract put together with a July 1, 2022 startdate. In the meantime, you are welcome to submit invoices to the Open Collective NASA project. Please make sure the are just for this project, and not other Aperio-led projects (e.g., mentoring), and include a brief description of the work done.

I'd like to request an extension of this funding until 30th April 2024, which should give plenty of time to bill the remaining hours. Please let me know if you need any information to support this request. Thanks!
As requested by @kelle, @eteq and @AnaGabela I have submitted the latest invoice to the Moore funding exceptionally.
Should we expect more invoices for this project? According to our records, there are $11,300 remaining and the contract was actually extended until Dec 30, 2024.
There is work left to do on one remaining matplotlib issue and then finishing up the regions interface. I expect to put more time into this after September.
