Gemini Contract
The Science User Support Department at Gemini Observatory (now part of the new NOIRLab) has funded an Astropy contractor to provide maintenance and development that benefits both the Astropy and DRAGONS projects on a part-time basis (averaging 5 hours per week over a period of a year or two). The details of the work are described in the SOW.
The total amount of this contract is $55,770 and includes a 10% admin fee to NumFocus.
The contractor identified to perform these services is Simon Conseil @saimn.

Doesn't matter — the plan is still that he will execute the work as a contractor, and that it will be paid for by Gemini. The current description is correct.
