Updating Isochrones
The current version of PopSyCLE requires PyPopStar. To run the perform_pop_syn function in PopSyCLE, iso_5.01.fits is needed. Currently on the PyPopStar documentation, under "Stellar Evolution and Atmosphere Models" there is a folder called "poster_models.tar.gz". This folder contains the necessary isochrones but only for iso_6.00.fits - iso_10.01.fits. I suggest updating this folder to include the isochrones from 5.01-5.99, or listing the website needed for downloading the isochrones so it is easier for the user to see where to get them from (http://waps.cfa.harvard.edu/MIST/interp_isos.html).
Thank you for the suggestion! Yes, we can add the logAge=5.01 - 5.99 isochrone for MIST into the popstar_models.tar.gz file. I will post here when it is ready.
Turns out you also need some that are after 10.01 as well (forgot to update the issue). If you could add the 10.01-10.99 isochrones as well as the 5.01-5.99 isochrones that would give the complete set needed.
I’m not quite sure I understand… we have work-arounds in PopSyCLE for this already, right?
