There seems to be a snag in the ffmpeg encoding--I was thinking it would be fine to bypass some of the complexity and just save each frame to disk and try the command on a terminal. Could you advise me on how to do that?

Again, this is a wonderful project and I appreciate you sharing it with all of us.

I think I know where that error is coming from. I'll have a bug fix for it.

now the video isn't blank (thank you!), but seems to only be exporting the first couple of frames and freezes on one frame for the rest of the duration of the song

That's weird, I've never seen that behavior before. Can you try rendering a few different lengths and see if it still happens, like 10secs, 20secs etc.

This is my experience with astrofox so far. The editing preview works fine, but when I render a video only the first frame shows. Latest master on Linux.
