If you're interested in these changes feel free to merge this. There's several minor functional changes, but mostly it's just new features.

I'll be making a number of other updates over the next few weeks or months. I'd be happy to take over development if you're interested, otherwise I'll probably release my own branch to rubygems, which you're also welcome to merge in as you see fit.

Awesome, thanks for this PR! From a brief skim almost everything looks great, but I want to understand parent reports / trackers a bit better and make sure they’re well documented in the README... will take a look and hopefully make any suggestions this weekend if that timeline is ok!
