I agree the current behaviour is not particularly good.
Can you reproduce this on the latest release v4.0.0?
Probably technically possible, but I don't expect that this is something I will be spending time on any time soon.
That is an issue with Outlook, nothing yabai can do about it.
You can also just resize the window with the mouse and the other windows will adjust accordingly. You can also script size/position and whatever using the signal system, to hook...
You can use the bsp layout, and script the behaviour using signals.
You can run `yabai -m config window_border off` followed by `yabai -m config window_border on`
