Save state of filter?

Is there way to save the state the filter like you can with the rowsPerPage and currentPage?

Officially no, not yet, but for now if you put an id in the settings it will save the filter until you refresh the page. Be careful updating if you rely on this - I don't have any tests for it and I'll probably replace it with something better in the future.
