feature request: save load graph

Bandage is fantastic, I'm glad to hear you are continuing its development. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a save/load feature? This would be useful for making figures for publications. It would be nice to be able to set a layout, add colors, blast hits etc. and then save the state so that it can be loaded again in the future.

Alternatively, a way to set the seed for the graph layout would be good as well in case I need to remake a figure but keep it looking the same. Thanks!

I feel and know your pain :) This would require some huge refactoring of internals. But otherwise (I hope) is doable, yes

@alexweisberg Layout could be loaded / saved in https://github.com/asl/BandageNG/releases/tag/v2022.06

Saving the whole state is a bit problematic, as I already written. However, we will try to ensure custom colors / labels are properly loaded / saved into GFA.

Custom colors, labels and other tags are now supported for load. So, at least some parts could be "emulated".
