[feature-request] Swap visualization between LaTeX macro to Unicode and vice versa
In my lab, a couple of persons use this feature in Vim. Basically, if you type something like \alpha
it will automatically be converted to α
. Note that the conversion is only for visualization: in the file will be saved the string \alpha
. Of course it's possible to toggle this feature.
Don't know how much could be difficult to implement, just an idea.
I do know of atom-latex-completions
that does something similar - but it actually inserts the Unicode symbol into the source.
I haven't dug into the Atom rendering api, but it might be possible to only have a rendered Unicode symbol. To be honest though, it's not high on my priority list though.
Thanks for your reply. There is no problem if it's not high on your priority list. I opened this issue only because in the atom page of the package you asked for suggestions of improvement. Someday someone probably would create it and send you a pull request. I would do it myself but I don't know very well how the atom rendering works.
