RFE - Option to hide hidden .folders/.files on remote server

My present webhost has 20+ .folders and .files (i.e. Linux hidden folders/files) in webroot. So far as I know, and according to this SuperUser question, it is not possible to configure NppFTP to hide (or "not display") files and folders that begin with a dot character.

The .folders are the most irritating, but it would be great to hide both - using separate checkboxes, if possible.

By way of comparison, FileZilla has "directory listing filters" (under VIEW menu) that allow user to specify files to not display/etc based on user-provided patterns (e.g. [filename] [does not include] [hello world] ).

Perhaps allowing users the option to not display dot files is a good first step to implementing something like FZ has.
