I am receiving same error message 'Failure retrieving contents of directory /' for FTPES option.

• debug info of N++
• version of NppFTP (Does it happen with current NppFTP version v0.26.8, if not already in use)
• The type of the ftp connection.
• Does this issue just happen with this ftp server or also other ones.
• Have you tried the same with another ftp client, e.g. filezilla.

Version of NppFTP updated to v0.26.8 Type of FTP connection is FTPES This is occurring to all FTPS connection.

My FTP server is enabled with chrooted env.

I'm having the same issue with the Failure of retrieving the contents of directory, as well as numerous failures to upload or download. After a failed upload I need to change one character e.g. add a space and delete it and then save again, but I need to do this very fast after the failed upload and then the upload will go through (be successful). The same for the Failure retrieving contents of directory, after I get the failure I click again on that folder and it works.

On a scale from 0 to 10, this is 100 (one undred) meaning one of the worst issues I've ever experienced, since before failing (e.g. an upload, or this failure or retrieving contents of the directory) it takes about 30 seconds or even more, so every time I need to wait 30 seconds. I will most probably give up the whole Notepad++ because my main use (97%) is for editing files via ftp, and this is not working for me.

I really appreciate your efforts, and I'd be happy to donate some money, please let me know how, because you've been doing this for free, and this is great, however, I've been facing this issue with the failures for too much time now, even a few years I'd say, and now it's becoming too much to stomach it...

I'll most likely buy the licence for a paid editor.

The same problem here, using Notepad++ 7.7 and NppFTP 0.28.3. Not every connection is raising this error, but sometime. I am using Filezilla and WinSCP for the same connection and never get errors.

Any news with this topic?
