Does this package support defaults file?

Does this package support something like .default-cargo-crates? I looked at the docs and issues and could not find any information on this.

I see there is a PR that is stuck that supports this feature. Is this repo still active and is there anyone who could help get that PR moved along?

To me, this is the only significant missing feature for this plugin.
