This is just a first guess, but could it be because of the duplicate use of the `menu-big` ID?

The way the plugin works assumes that there is a single slide menu on the page. That said, I believe that others have implemented multiple menus on a page.

[This previous comment](https://github.com/ascott1/bigSlide.js/issues/18#issuecomment-55338906) described using it by instantiating the plugin twice. I hope that helps!

Thanks @jahrichie! That will definitely work for now. I'll see if I can come up with a solution that doesn't require disabling scaling for a future release.
