Better syntax for line break / new line
Hi,
for line break (new line) command inside the same paragraph, one currently has to put +
at the end of the current line. Downsides:
- One sometimes uses this

as for addition, without always creating a special latex or asciimath environment for that. Ex: "I bought 2kg apples + 3kg pears yesterday". The+
can happen at end of line. - This

confuses beginners who read the asciidoc source , mistaking with mathematical addition.
Suggestion: why don't we use \n
, as this is known in computer world as new line marker. And it takes same number (2) of keyboard hits as for +
(shift-plus_key
).

Good point. But rather than using \n
at the end of the line, why not just \
, as this is more convenient to read (less characters) and also known in some properties formats (e.g. Java Properties).
