include a working chromium build
Sadly there is no chromium for armel wheezy at the moment. Building chromium is not trivial.
in my experience chromium is a hungry animal for RAM :/
chromium memory hungry or not is essential for modern websites to display correctly mindori fails on a few sites and the other options don't support some web browser addon's. either. so chromium all the way please worked great under debian.
ok i get that , i still think it would be found wanting on the 256mb RAM the pi has unless it was built from scratch with many features stripped out , and like the other poster said it would take a LOT of man hours to do just that. firefox displays most websites correctly and in my experience uses less RAM than chromium. so i wouldnt say chromium is an essential partof any distro.
fair comment i just like chromium it looks nice and had less hangups than Firefox with wheezy ill have to try Firefox first
hi dude i hear what your saying but it ran fine under Debian 6 so why can't it run under wheezy 7 i don't see any difference.

hmm are u saying it ran well on ur raspberry pi using debian 6 or on your pc ? if it ran fine for you on the pi then yes theres no reason why it shouldnt on wheezy. suprising as on my laptop with debian 6.0 5 with 512 mb ram it conusumes between 350/400 mb with no add ons ,im sure u could add a PPA to sources to get it , here is the PPA for FX stable , good luck. To install this PPA: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
Chromium is working fine for me based on recent installs with apt-get. This is on Pi v1 and v2.
