libtorrent 2.1.0 - when?
what is missing for a libtorrent 2.1.0 release? fixes, tests, features?
currently the master branch (libtorrent 2.1) is
545 commits ahead of and 1 commit behind RC_2_0.

currently the master branch (libtorrent 2.1) is 545 commits ahead of and 1 commit behind RC_2_0.
Is misleading number, because looking at commit history you can see that it actually includes a lot of changes that where first merged to RC_2_0 and then later on same things added into master branch (current 2.1), maybe to maintain some feature compatibility with 2.0 and to avoid too many unexpected issues.
I think most likely 2.1 gets officially released whenever this old thing gets merged:

Or if anything else that gets 2.1 tag added: https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/milestone/43
Would be more convenient and quicker for everyone to see differences between branches if issues, changes and features unique to 2.1 series would get the 2.1 milestone tag.

Apparently it has major issues that need to be fixed. 2.0 was very problematic so the dev is taking more time with 2.1
I was hoping to have the pread_diskio in a usable state. But I've unfortunately not had very much time to work on this for quite a while now. Maybe it's an unreasonable goal. Maybe it could be experimental to help iron out the last issues.
