Prefill components from url ?

Open erwanp opened this issue 5 years ago • 9 comments

Do you think something like https://www.radis.app/?molecule=CO&Tgas=500, that would prefill the molecule component with CO, and the gas temperature with 500 K, is doable ? I'm thinking of how it could be used to "share" spectra.

Hello @suzil , I thought about doing this today to share a spectrum with another researcher. Do you think it's doable ? I could ask on the Radis Slack for help to implement it !

I did a small experiment yesterday to see how it could work with specifying the molecule in the URL and having that populate the form. So it works! I need to figure out now how to integrate it with the existing code, also with validation.

Amazing ! Then it actually becomes an App, where you can share your spectra ! Use case was with @minouHub :

"which spectral region should I be looking at ? " "- well, for CO2, this spectral region is particularly interesting, see here : https://radis.app?molecule=CO2&wavenumber_min=2000&wavenumber_max=2300&Tgas=300"

Making some progress on this! (Some of the UI is temporarily commented-out as I'm migrating to saving the form state in the URL.)

Great, this will be super useful ! @minouHub, have a look !

@suzil @arunavabasu-03 is this still doable after #347?

@arunavabasu-03 if you think this is doable, it would be a great addition to Share spectra . I just encountered a new use-case few minutes ago
