Personal workaround: ACONITE control PC changed to Ubuntu as intended for a long time anyhow. Issue naturally persists, therefore I keep it open.
Whether it solves itself at some point I cannot say as I do not have access to a mac. Is actually anyone running it on mac?
Please try the current v1.7-dev development branch. There were some changes in the converter.
Did you try the more recent version?
I encountered that thing in eudaq V1X some time ago and was on the verge to remove it as it is not used for anything. It is anyhow very rudimentary....

It would be useful to add the maintainer(s) to the converter plugins/producers in order to know whom to contact in case of problems.
