Criteo (1 of 2): Product Feed for Retargeting
We're planning to launch a retargeting campaign to drive inquiries, which will help with GMV, user acquisition, and gallery retention. There are 2 product elements:
- Inventory - which works we show in banner ads (this issue)
- Website tagging - who we show ads to (Criteo to send our tagging guide once we sign the contract...)
The link below contains the complete Criteo feed spec. These are the fields we should include:
- all mandatory fields (
product id
,title
,link,
image_link
) -
description
- "View & collect works by [Artist Name] on Artsy." -
price
(i.e. 1299.99) -
instock
- out of stock (0
) / in stock (1
) -
recommendable
- non-recommendable (0
) / recommendable (1
) -- this will give us the option to not display works that are nude / "vulgar" (or that would otherwise get us blacklisted), as well as specific works that cause issues with partners, etc. -
brand
- Artist name -
product_type
(medium) (i.e. Women’s > Shoes > Working Boots) -
mobile_link
- https://m.artsy.net version of the artwork url -
color
- "the dominant color(s) of the product" -
shipping_height
- artwork height -
shipping_width
- artwork width -
shipping_length
- artwork length -
expiration_date
- "date when the product will not be recommendable anymore" (2016-07-24)
Artsy-specific requirements for the feed (we need the ability to...):
- include only for-sale works
- include only works with a price
- include / remove certain gallery partners (i.e. remove all works from Gallery X)
- include / remove certain artists (i.e. remove all works by Andy Warhol)
- include / remove certain gallery artists (i.e. show Warhol works from Gallery X, but not Gallery Y)

@craigspaeth @alloy This card was never "started" but i know the criteo work is done. Are these requirements what was built? Were only works with exact price retargetable?
