when type "xi",it turn to \xi automatically,but you can't find any option to change it.

typing "xi" in $$,you will find it

In the snippets, in the section commented "Greek letters", there is one snippet as follows:

{trigger: "([^\\\\])(${GREEK}|${SYMBOL})", replacement: "[[0]]\\[[1]]", options: "rmA", description: "Add backslash before greek letters and symbols"},

Commenting out this snippet will prevent the auto backslash of Greek symbols (alpha, beta, etc.).
