Video playback is broken

Using Cinema none of my videos play correctly but Ace Player works fine.

what do you use for a codec?

I have installed ubuntu-restricted-extras libavcodec-extra

All other video playback works fine. Am i missing something?

hm... what codec has your video file? you can check it with media-info app

Okay after testing around installing ubuntu restricted extras completely breaks it, leaving all videos unplayable, after removing it i can play everything other than .flv files. Which just hang.

This is a clean install of elementary OS.

I also installed ubuntu-restricted-extras and am experiencing this issue. Removing the package does not seem to fix playback.
