I've found this no longer happens in the newly-released [v7.0.0-beta.0](https://github.com/fullcalendar/fullcalendar-workspace/releases/tag/v7.0.0-beta.0). Performance for multimonth view is much better. Updated repro: https://codepen.io/arshaw/pen/OJKMOQZ?editors=001

This was likely solved in versions released since 2016 (when this ticket was written), but in the [v7.0.0-beta.0](https://github.com/fullcalendar/fullcalendar-workspace/releases/tag/v7.0.0-beta.0) release, it's definitely solved: https://codepen.io/arshaw/pen/PoMZEer?editors=0110
