Thanks; this the same as #36 – for some reason a Liquid {% comment %} block (or any block tag) just before the reference list breaks things 🤔

It may be a bug in Liquid or Jekyll, or maybe it's a problem with all my custom plugins. I'll keep this issue open as a reminder to investigate later.
