@dafeda well I suppose you'll first need a `.irap` file and set the [`SURFACE`](https://ert.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reference/configuration/keywords.html#surface) config key. I'm not sure how you'd get your hands on a `.irap` file, though.

did a few quick explorations. I feel like this direction would eliminate this entire pr, but overall a better direction 
just a general note: all four rows explore different alternatives to the card design and how to display the job status. the designs would not appear at the same time....
