Chronos asks me for password when it shouldn't
Good morning everyone, the problem I have is that in the step of entering the command CTRL + ALT + F2 at the time of putting the username (chronos) in the YouTube tutorial it appears that it does not ask for a password, but in my case, typing the word chronos and hitting enter prompts me for a password, which shouldn't happen. I already tried deleting the account that I used to test the whole system, I even rebooted all the settings as at the beginning of the installation and only started as a guest, but I cannot follow the installation steps on the hard disk because chronos me keep asking for password. I do not know what else I can do, if someone knows the answer, I would appreciate it very much friends. Have a nice day!
Have you checked the information regarding password behavior on Chromium OS at https://arnoldthebat.co.uk/wordpress/chromium-os/? This was the information provided:
Please note: there is a new behaviour with the chronos user password. The password has been removed from build R55-8777 onward and will continue to be removed for better overall security. Older builds have the password of ‘password’. This means you need to use ‘chromeos-setdevpasswd’ from either shell or console to set your own password from build R55-8777 onwards.
Unable to reproduce this on my build. What version are you trying this on?
Please wait it! some time the chromium os run slow, and the ui in load, the account system have not load, please wait the system at the login ui load.
