Third and fifth partition are too small (only 2GB)
Hey Arnold! Insane work with your Images, the special builds work like a charm but I feel the third and fifth partitions are too small. NO matter what I do, they will always be set to 2GB. Considering that recovery Images are from 2.1 GB to 2.4 GB could we maybe increase them to get files copied over?
regards
Can you give me more info please? The partitions are the default sizing that google use (I dont overwrite them). Are you talking about recovery images of full chromebooks?
Uhm yes, partition 3 and 5 basically use 2GB by default. And since many people are actually interested to "convert" chromiumOS to chromeOS by just copying the partition 3 of the official google recovery images, but in most cases 2GB in not enough. I mean it not hard to resize the partition on my own but it would be easier to just increase it to 3GB I guess, but I guess it is not really a problem related to chromium OS, I was just thinking it may helps some ppl who tries to convert chromium into chromeOS.
this is not arnold's fault. people who want that should use gparted to acomodate the partitions :)
Use the linux partition manager gparted to move/resize. I moved partition STATE so that ROOT-A could be resized to 4Gb and STATE could then be resized to fill the partition for user file usage giving 22Gb free space.
