Unable to edit content inside the hat accent
Hello, I'm reporting this issue because it's currently not possible to edit the content under the "hat" accent. If I want to make any changes to a letter or expression with a hat, I have to delete it entirely and retype it. The cursor cannot move or be placed inside the hat content, which prevents direct editing.
That is intentional, the idea being that a base item and its accent are a unit, like "â". Can you share an example where you would need the base to be editable separately from the accent?
The idea is that the hat should only accept a single letter underneath it, right? The problem is that the hat accepts more than one character, and I can’t edit its content to remove the incorrectly added characters. The usability for having only one character under the hat is a bit tricky. If I want something like “hât,” I won’t be able to easily place the hat only over the “a,” because it will end up covering “ha” instead of just the “a.” Can you reproduce this on your side?
