Changing proportion of body-to-sidebar?

This is not a bug...

How would I go about having a wider sidebar and (consequently) a narrower body column? Across all files etc.

You'd want to change the span class on div#main to something like span6 or span7 and then adjust span class on the div#sidebar1 so that the total equals 12.

These divs are found in index.php and sidebar.php but also in a few other files as well. See this search. You'd need to make sure it is consistent in all of them.
