Projection transform controls jump to a twisted angle

Issue description: If you try to move a decal to a certain position using the 3D transform mode in "Projection" and scale it correctly, the tool jumps to a twisted rotation. I noticed that with the switch to Blender keymapping, the error occurs less frequently. (This may be due to the fact that you rotate with alt pressed + left mouse button, which happens in Blender with the mouse wheel pressed. Steps to reproduce: This is especially noticeable / happens especially when you press the left mouse button for a longer time to rotate or scale.
