Wacom One Pen used in mouse mode in Linux not working properly - ArmorPaint
Searched both open and closed issues
Yes
ArmorPaint version:
Versions up to and including 0.8 would work improperly (on first pen swipe it would give a full pressure dot and then the rest of the swipe would register properly.
From versions 0.9 and 1.0a, it does not register pen pressure at all.
edit:
I checked with version 0.9 2021 and it semi-works, while 0.9 2023 doesn't.
I should also add that when using the tablet in tablet mode, it registers pressure sensitivity properly
OS/device including version:
- Linux Mint 21.2 x86_64
- 5.15.0-83-generic
- Wacom One by Wacom M Pen stylus
Issue description: I use my tablet in mouse mode, works properly in Krita, Gimp, Blender. When trying to paint in ArmorPaint, I was never able to use pressure sensitivity correctly. Older versions (and different distros/kernels) would give me a full pressure dot before registering pressure sensitivity while the newer versions just don't register it at all.
Steps to reproduce: Open ArmorPaint, try to paint with tablet set to Mouse Mode. It doesn't have pressure sensitivity

Gonna try the Alpha version, since I'm experiencing the exact same as you.

Mouse mode is underrated for smaller tablets, it's a shame to not be able to use it
After an eternity this should be finally resolved in the latest 1.0alpha build. To test, I used the command xsetwacom --set "Wacom Intuos S Pen stylus" Mode "Relative" which I hope is the mouse mode. If the issue persists please let me know. Thanks for the great report.
